Whilst we employ sophisticated technology, both within this website and embedded in our servers, we also employ further measures to protect both you and us. As you might expect, we do not divulge all procedures as to do so will inevitably weaken them. You can, however, be assured that we regularly review, test and maintain suitably robust systems.
We also limit some of the functionality of our secure messaging services for our registered clients and users to further protect against online fraud. This means that we have chosen not to offer end to end trading functionality which will otherwise avoid the need for human intervention or review of transactions. We prefer to monitor every request and secure message as we know and understand our clients’ circumstances much better than any fully automated computer software.
By employing both active and passive security, and by enforcing human oversight by our well trained and experienced colleagues, we seek to offer the same degree of privacy and security to our online clients as we do for our traditional, paper based clients.
Finally, for our clients who want the ultimate security, we can restrict access to your client portal based upon your computer, tablet or ‘phone’s public IP address. Whilst this may sound complicated, it’s not really. If we do this, you’ll only ever be able to access your portal from predetermined addresses. Bear in mind this may not always be possible as this depends on your internet provider, but it’s worth a look. Let us know if you’d like to try.
